As we age, Hyaluronic Acid (HA), the material
supporting the layers of the skin begins to decrease. The way your skin looks
is directly related to how the skin is supported. Dermal Fillers replace lost
volume and restore youthful contours to the skin to smooth away moderate to
severe facial wrinkles.
By injecting HA under the skins surface, we can
temporarily correct wrinkles.
The results are immediate and last between 4
and 12 months depending on the product used. The procedure is simple and can be
performed during your lunch hour.
HA can be used to fill in the smile
lines (Nasolabial Folds), the frown lines between the eyes and the marionette
lines that turn down the corners of the mouth. They can also be used to
decrease or eliminate the fine "smokers lines" around the lips. We can also use
fillers to augment the lips. HA can be used either alone or in combination with
Botox.
There are many different types of fillers. Their use is
determined by their thickness and partical size. Dr. DiPasquale is trained to
help you decide which product is right for you based on an evaluation of your
facial wrinkles and folds.
